Fufa have clarified that contrary to yesterday’s Daily Monitor story, ticket prices for the next week’s Uganda Cranes-Guinea Bissau match remain unchanged.
The local governing body’s publicity secretary, Rogers Mulindwa, affirmed that general tickets are going for Shs15,000 each while the highest priced ticket – for the blue seats – costs Shs30,000.
“Nothing has changed about the fee. That remains fixed. The tickets should be here tomorrow (today) and distribution plus sales will start on Sunday,” Mulindwa explained further.
“This campaign has proved expensive thus we ask the public to help out financially,” he added. “We have professional players to fly in and their return tickets are not cheap.”
After the Guinea game, Cranes will travel to face Angola in September before winding up against Kenya in Kampala.
Cranes are expected to start residential training on Monday. Uganda currently top Group J with seven points. Uganda will edge closer to qualifying for the 2012 Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon with victory over Bissau.
