Representative Aspirant Vows Reform in District #2

    The Representative aspirant for District # 2 in Montserrado County, D. Mustapha Waritay, has vowed to reform every part of the district with good facilities such as safe drinking water, clean sanitation and hygiene as well as with good infrastructural development.

    Making the disclosure recently at a cleaning up campaign which he spearheaded and organized in his honor by the Kola Tree Association in Jallah Town, Mr. Waritay said part of his reform agenda for District # 2 is to ensure that the priority needs of the people are met by getting safe drinking water, good medical treatment, pits latrine facilities as well as to have a very good sanitary environment condition.

    He said that since he launched his sweeping up campaign in district # 2, he has been able to provide for the district several wheel-barrows, shovels, rakes, hoes and brooms which cost him several Thousand United States Dollars.

    Mr. Waritay indicated that when he was approached several months ago by eminent citizens, youths and elders of the district to run for the district legislative seat for 2011, he never rejected the people’s calls but has been working tirelessly to meet those goals as a means of rendering much needed humanitarian services to the citizens in the various community of district # 2.

    He noted that out of his personal contributions and goodwill gesture, he has been able to secure for the people over LD$7m as a micro-loan scheme for the empowerment of women, girls and youths of the district. He said that achievement is a good beginning for the people of the district.

    Mr. Waritay added that for those who are bent on criticizing his work and efforts in the district, he will not give up but hopes to continue to do more for his people by providing those basic necessities that are required for the citizens of the district.

    The representative aspirant for District # 2 averred that he has provided pipe borne water on Warren Street, Camp Johnson Road, Bussie Quarters and plans to do the same for the people of Jallah Town.

    For his part, the Chairman of the Kola Tree Association, Philip G. Williams thanked Mr. Waritay for the numerous contributions he has rendered to the people of District # 2.

    The representative aspirant has taken his busy schedule to spearhead or launch the clean-up campaign in Jallah Town which observers believe symbolized his preparedness to work for his district and the people.

    He said that they will pledge their support to the candidacy of Mr. Waritay until his dreams of representation on the district ticket to the national legislature becomes a success.

    The day long clean- up campaign exercise was also climaxed with beauty pageant and a mini Olympic tournament in honor of the aspirant for District # 2, Don M. Waritay and cash prizes of  US$ 20.00,US$ 15.00 and US$ 5.00 awarded to both the Male football and Female kickball teams respectively.
