Dondo — Dondo city in the northern Kwanza Norte province will celebrate on Sunday its 38th founding anniversary as city on 29 May in 1973.
The population of Dondo city is estimated at 55.000 and they speak the vernacular language of kimbundo.
The history of Dondo city goes back to XIV century and is land from Ndongo Kingdom, formed by migration of people from the Central Africa, led by King Ngola Nzinga, that settled in Kwanza region and occupied every plot until the sea.
