Luanda — The chairwoman of the Parliamentary Women’s Group, Rodeth Teresa Gil, on Tuesday here mentioned disunity as a destabilising factor of the African continent.

“Disunity must not be among Africans, as we have a rich continent and division leads to greed, usurpation and other ways of destabilisation”, said the MP.

The MP said so while speaking in the fringes of the friendship and socialisation meeting in commemoration of Africa’s Day, May 25, that gathered members of the diplomatic body working in Angola.

In her opinion, it is important to accomplish the goals that led to the creation of the then Organisation of African Unity, by the African leaders, among them promotion of emancipation of the people that throughout the centuries saw their natural wealth usurped.
