Cabinda — The university teacher António Maria Mpassa Tuesday, in northern Cabinda province, exhorted Africans for moderation in implementing democratic principles.
Speaking to Angop, on 25 May, Africa’s Day, the lecturer of African History at the Higher Institute of Education Sciences (ISCED) of 11 de Novembro University, said that comparing the Western democracy to the African States is burning the stages.
That intellectual said that Africans people are able enough to resolve their own problems without needing external intervention.
“Africa is no longer the same continent that used to be in the “60s and “70s of the last century, characterized by coup d’état, hunger and poverty, without development perspectives. Despite of being slow, today the scenery is different”, he said.
