Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli downplays talk of AC Milan switch & reveals he is happy in England

Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli has dampened talk of a swift return to Italy by confirming his intentions to stay at Eastlands next season.

The controversial Italian international joined City last summer from Inter and despite talk of a move to newly crowned Serie A champions AC Milan, Balotelli has confirmed he’s enjoying life in England.

“For the time being, I am happy in England,” Balotelli told Corriere dello Sport.

“I compliment Milan for winning the Scudetto, but with regards to me, I am happy in England.”

Balotelli, 20, has had a mixed debut season in England and his agent Mino Raiola is confident on that his client will remain at Eastlands.

“I’m 2,000 per cent certain that Balotelli will remain at Manchester City,” Raiola said.

The attacker’s recent form has seen him rewarded with a recall to the Italy squad for their upcoming Euro 2012 qualifier against Estonia on June 3 and their match friendly against the Republic of Ireland four days later.
