The East Africa Community and National Youth Sector Alliance have launched a sensitization program on the operations of the regional block for youth leaders.
The work shop which opened yesterday at the Kenya Institute of Education is being attended by youth leaders from all the 47 counties and aims at deepening their understanding of the EAC integration . It is also aimed at receiving feedback on their expectations on the EAC. The two day event was presided over by EAC minister, Professor Helen Sambili.
The issues addressed include youth empowerment, health and education, creative arts and sports, leadership and governance. Sambili said the EAC common market provides opportunities for professionals, workers, citizens, and the youth in the region.
