Nigeria: Dolphins Inflict Fourth Defeat On FCT Angels

The Dolphins Basketball Team yesterday defeated FCT Angels of Abuja, making it the fourth loss recorded by the Abuja-based side in the ongoing 7th Zenith Bank Women Basketball League in Abuja.

The FCT Angels started the match on a good note, wining teh first quarter 14-7 and ending the second quarter on even note of 19-19.

But Dolphins took over the leadership in the third quarter, wining 42-25 and rounding up the victory 65-42 in the fourth quarter.

Captain of the losing side Victoria Icha told Trustsports in a post match interview that lost of concentration and accuracy cost them the match, as they failed to convert their free throws and basket to trail their opponents in the third quarter and eventually lose the game.

The Guard One however told our reporter that they are looking forward to wining their last three matches against Plateau, Nigeria Customs and Nigeria Immigration.

Also yesterday, AHIP Queens lost 38-39 to Immigration; Sunshine crushed Nigeria Customs 75-21, while First Deepwater edged past Plateau 77-37.

In today’s matches, Dolphin will take on AHIP Queens of Kano in the first game of the day, Plateau will battle FCT Angles in the second match of the day, Delta Force will square up against First Deepwater, while Nigeria Customs will confront Nigeria Immigration. The last match of the day will involve high riding First Bank and Sunshine.
