Hot-B New Album Goes Online

After releasing his much anticipated debut album a couple of years ago, one of the Gambia’s promising hip-hop rappers, Baboucarr Joof aka Hot B SDF, recently released his second album with thrilling masterpiece songs.

Unlike his debut album, this second album entitled ‘Just for You”, can be accessed in a form a free download on the Internet. The 13-track masterpiece comprises thrilling songs that will suit hip-hop lovers and great lovers of music in general. The star, who has been in the scene for quite some time has continued to carve a niche for himself both in the Senegambia region and beyond as far as music is concerned.

Due to his formidable and captivating rapping skills, it was discovered that the star caught the eyes and attention of many music lovers during a music festival held in the Senegalese city of Dakar, thus being closely watch for what many believe is his ‘promising future in the music scene’. He is now signed by a Dakar-based independent label called “Def Waref Records”, together with some other finest rappers in Senegal.

However, the solo star, who started his career in 1997-8 to be precise, is no doubt another rising Gambian rapper best known for his hot stage acts and captivating rapping tone. It was in 2007 when he first dropped his debut album called “Love and Peace in The Gambia’s peace songs dedicated to the Smiling Coast of Africa. Since then, he has been criss-crossing and gracing stages in the whole of Senegambia region, in a bid to better promote his music to the next level.

In a recent chat with What’s On, HOB B as fondly called revealed that after the release of this online album, the response from his fans around the world was overwhelming. “Everyday my fans used to dropped messages for me on my networking sites such as MySpace, Facebook, to expressed their appreciation and feeling how they love the songs in the album,’ he said.

Commenting on the online album, Hot B said he decided to release the free download online album because of the love he has for HIP-HOP and ever-increasing fans. “All the songs in this online album are thrilling songs,” he enthused. He then used the opportunity to assure his fans that this album is for them while calling on them to get ready for his Independent Squad debut album, which is expected the hit the streets very soon.

Asked about the work with regards to the independent label, he said: “We are like a family with similar profession due to the good understanding and cooperation that exists among ourselves. I joined them in a bid to promote good vibes and this was in 2005 and as I speak, we are currently busy in the studios for the final release of squad much anticipated debut album,”

With this independent record label, HOT B is optimistic that this new development will further open up avenues for him to push his career to the next level in realising his dream to be an international recording artiste one day. Watch out for HOT-B Independent Squad album coming soon!
