Benguela — The Mozambican attorney general, Augusto Raul Paulino, Wednesday in Luanda said he was impressed by the progress scored in prison and judiciary institutions in central Benguela province.
This was expressed at the end of a few hours visit to Benguela.
Accompanied by his Angolan counterpart, João Maria de Sousa, said he was impressed by the prison and the judiciary institutions where he learned of the work being done towards re-socialisation of the penal population and the number of magistrates and justice officials in courts.
“The great effort that one can note is the performance capacity, not only from the point of view of the quality, but mainly of the increase in the number of magistrates. For example in Lobito there is a considerable number of magistrates. It is true they might lack in other districts, but there are big steps and I personally confess I am impressed,” he stated.
