Recent attacks on the Turkana community by Merille warriors from Ethiopia continue to elicit mixed reactions over how the government is handling external aggression by neighboring countries. Mosop Mp David Koech says it is against the constitution for the government to fail to prioritize the security of its citizens. He is also questioning why the government has not deployed the military to create a buffer zone along all porous borders instead of merely relying on diplomacy. Prime Minister Raila Odinga and his delegation were this week denied access to a Kenyan village forcibly occupied by Ethiopian warriors several kilometers inside Kenyan territory.
