Human rights activists plan to disrupt public hearings on high food and fuel prices next week set to be conducted by a special parliamentary committee formed this week. Kenyans for Justice and Development Executive director Okiya Omtata has dismissed the meeting aimed at getting the public’s views on tackling high cost of commodities as unnecessary as the government is aware of who is pushing up the cost of living. The parliamentary committee will begin meeting the public next week in Eldoret before moving countrywide.
