Manchester City would struggle to entice AC Milan target Zlatan Ibrahimovic away from the San Siro, according to the player’s agent who described it as an “impossible move”.
Roberto Mancini revealed his interest in the striker on Wednesday, sparking speculation about where the player may end up this summer.
Ibrahimovic – still on loan from Barcelona – is keen to stay with Milan, who secured the Serie A title at the weekend.
Coach Massimiliano Allegri said on Monday that the Swede is staying with the Italian giants
Ibrahimovic joined the Rossoneri on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona, with Milan set to trigger their £22.5 million option to buy him permanently at the end of term.
And now agent Mino Raiola has echoed Allegri’s views by stating the striker has unfinished business after a disappointing Champions League campaign, which culminated in a defeat to Spurs in the quarter-finals.
“Mancini has paid a great compliment to Zlatan by saying he might make the final leap to Manchester City,” Raiola told Radio Radio.
“But he must not speak with me but with Milan chief Adriano Galliani and it won’t be easy to take him away.
“Mancini knows what it means to have Ibra in a squad but I think it’s impossible that Milan will sell him.
“When Zlatan went to AC Milan I said they were getting not just a player but also a winning mentality.
“Ibrahimovic doesn’t like to lose and he has brought that mentality to AC Milan.
“In football everything has a price, but Ibra is not going to go away. He wants to grow with Milan. They will have a team to compete in Europe.”
