Luanda — Indebted member States belonging to the Supreme Council of Sports in Africa (SCSA) Thursday were urged to regularise their situation or they will miss the All Africa Games, scheduled for 3 – 18 September in Maputo, Mozambique, Angop learned Thursday.
According to national director of Sports, Raimundo Ricardo, who was speaking to Angop from Maputo, the fact was decided at a meeting of African leaders held Tuesday and Wednesday at Olympic Games Headquarters of Africa.
The event discussed the state of development of sports in the continent.
The decision followed the fact that most countries belonging to the organisation do not pay their quota for more than 20 years.
“During the meeting it was clear that the indebted countries should pay off debt at least four years, or they risk to be excluded from All Africa Games”, said the official.
According to him, the zone VI, where Angola belongs, is the single area with the updated payment.
