Kenya: Mombasa Marathon Will Be Run On May 15

Athletics Kenya have announced. AK Mombasa branch chairperson Anisa Abdallah yesterday said the committee incharge of co-ordinating the event had identified May 15, as the most ideal. Speaking in Mombasa, Anisa who is also AK Coast treasurer said they had dispatched invitations to several countries and were awaiting confirmation. “We are at the final stages of the arrangements for this big May 15 date. The race will start from the Mombasa treasury square ” she said. Anisa said the preparations will be concluded with a weekend meet from May 13 to May 14 before the event the following day. Several countries have been invited to the race which will mark the 28th edition edition. “We intend to invite countrieslike Ethiopia, Eritrea, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and many others ” she said.
