Al Shabaab Accused of Being Responsible for a Deadly Blast

Luq — Al shabaab movement, which the US alleges to be al Qaeda’s proxy in the horn of African nation, has been accused of being responsible for a deadly blast that rocked parts of Gedo region in southern Somalia.

Somali government’s Luq district commissioner Abdullahi Ibrahim Ahmed said in an exclusive interview with Shabelle Media Network that Al shabaab has planted the roadside bomb at the street.

He called for Al shabaab not to harm and kill aimlessly the innocent civilian people using the streets in southern Somalia regions.

At least 10 civilian people were killed and 6 others injured after their passenger bus caught in bomb blast planted in the street while they were traveling.

Also, nearly ten camels killed in the explosion, according to eyewitnesses who were present at the time of the blast.

Meanwhile, Al shabaab has not released any comments about the accusations from Somali government.
