VIP went home with 2 awards from the MTN Ghana Music Awards 2011. They won ‘Hiplife/Hiphop Artiste of the Year’ and ‘Artiste of the Year’.
VIP grants its first online interview to Ghana Music.com after their triumph. Their win comes closely after the releasing their 7th album in 2011 entitled “7/11.
Hashim of Boogie Down Nima (BDN), executive production company of VIP, said, ” First of all, we being part of the event is a blessing and whether we won less or more, what really matters is that we won the most important award and that’s, the ‘Artiste of the Year’”.
Hashim also revealed VIP’s secret which has made them the longest surviving hiplife group in Ghana. “Everyone is each brother’s keeper in the group. There is loyalty amongst us and all the ghettos”, he said.
Hashim ended with, “It’s amazing how Nima is proud of VIP. It’s the fans that are speaking and they made us to be number in Ghana. We won’t disappoint them and we will be done with the ‘Taste’ music video soon”.
VIP is a hiplife group whose members represents Nima and is made up of Lazzy, Promzy and Prodigal.
