MUSIGA host 2 Day symposium today

Music of Tuesday, 26 April 2011 Source: Ameyaw Debrah Former First Lady, Konadu Agyemang Rawlings declared her intension to run for the office of President of Ghana at the ‘Famous 5’ concert held at the Accra International Conference Centre last Friday. When host of the event, Kwami Sefa Kai asked the former first lady if she would indeed run for president, she was a little hesitant to answer but the crowed in chorus answered ‘Yes’! Mrs Rawlings later answered, ‘You heard them!’ each time the host asked the question. But when Kwami pushed a little further, the former First Lady confirmed that she would run ‘absolutely’

The International Center for African Music and Dance and the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, Holland in Collaboration with MUSIGA will be presenting a two day symposium on Contemporary Music at the MUSIGA head office today, 27th April, 2011.

On the high table will be Prof. John Collins, Prof. Emeritus Nketsia and the Minister of Chieftaincy and Culture, Mr. Alexander Asum-Ahensah.

On the way from Holland will Mr. Henk Van der Meulen and Mr. Martijn Padding who will be tackling vital topics.

Diana Hopeson is entreating all musicians to attend the symposium which begins today and ends tomorrow, 28th April, 2011.

MUSIGA is the music body of Ghanaians musicians.
