23 April 2011 Luanda — The remains of the former secretary general of the Angolan Federation of Tennis (FAT), João Nogueira Junior, who died on April 19, here, victim of an illness, were Saturday buried in the Alto das Cruzes Cemetery. After the funeral service held in the Main Unit of Fire Brigade, the coffin of the deceased, accompanied by relatives, friends, officials, coaches, referees and players in the game, was deposited in the holy field. In the Alto das Cruzes, before being deposited the coffin in the grave, it was read the eulogy, where was highlighted the achievements of Joao Nogueira as a player, coach and sports official

Luanda — The senior males basketball team of Petro de Luanda beat on Friday Recreativo do Libolo by 99-88, in the second leg of the finals of Angola Cup in Luanda’s Cidadela pavilion.

In the first leg match Petro de Luanda lost to Recreativo do Libolo by 69-78. With this result, Petro de Luanda and Recreativo do Libolo will play a third match on Sunday to find the winner of the Angola cup.

In the first half, Petro were losing the match by 41-47. The player of Petro de Luanda Roderick Nealy was the best scorer of the game with 38 points. On Sunday, Petro de Luanda and Recreativo do Libolo will play a third match in order to find the winner of the Angola cup. Recreativo do Libolo are title holders of this competition.
