23 April 2011 Lubango — The minister of Youth and Sports, Gonçalves Muandumba, Saturday in Lubango, Huila province, stressed the importance of Taekwondo for the physical and psychological development of young people. Speaking at the opening of the 12th national championship in Taekwon-do for man and eighth for woman , the minister said that the sport is special, as apart from translating the discipline, unity and companionship, it helps the young people to defend themselves. The Gonçalves Muandumba said that taekwan-do has a positive influence on people's lives, both in terms of living together, training or protection.

Luanda — The senior female handball team of Petro de Luanda return tonight at 6pm in the country, after winning Friday in Yaounde (Cameroon), the African Cups Winners Cup, following a victory at the final against the local FAP by 32-20.

The group, commanded by Vivaldo Eduardo, achieved the objectives in Yaounde and now they focuses on the home competitions, which includes the Luanda Provincial games and the Big One Cup According to assistant coach, Edgar Neto, priority is given to the National Championship, whose goal is to win it.

“We must continue working so that we can win on all fronts we are engaged,” he said.

For the Cup Winners’ Cup, the coach said it was difficult as the teams have shown good performance.

The team of Petro de Luanda this year has won three ompetitions, namely Super Cup in Angola against 1º de Agosto by 33-31 in extra-time), Babacar Fall Super Cup (33-25 against FAP of Cameroon) and African Cup Winners Cup (32-20 against FAP).
