Ghana’s oldest cyclist wants to be at London 2012 Games

    58 year old Peter Kwaku Badu Vordzo is still conceiving a dream of representing Ghana at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

    Even though Peter Kwaku Badu Vordzo concedes he might not be able to withstand the challenge that will e posed by the younger ones, Mr. says he wants to be at the London 2012 Games to make a point to the world.

    He told Asempa News in an interview that cycling has so much to offer as far as health is concerned, apart from it being a sporting activity.

    Mr. Badu Vordzo who is preacher of the Gospel by profession has been riding for over 30 years and has been recognized by the National Sports Authority as Ghana’s oldest cyclist.

    Peter, who says he rides every day in of his life, is making a passionate appeal to the NSA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to organize an annual contest for people over 50 years, in order to keep them active.
