AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng says it will be difficult for Tottenham to keep Gareth Bale.

The Welshman, who has been in impressive form for Spurs this season, is reportedly attracting interest from Inter, Real Madrid and Barcelona, while Manchester United have also been linked with a summer move for the player.

Boateng played alongside the 21-year-old during his time at White Hart Lane, and is predicting a bidding war for his former team-mate’s signature.

“Gareth was the player all the Milan players have been talking about, because of his pace and left foot,” he told The Mirror.

“When I played here there were talents like Gareth and Aaron Lennon, but they have improved a lot.

“I think the whole of Europe is after Gareth, because he is a great player. The way he played against Inter was impressive and everyone said: ‘Who is this player? We need to get him.’

“I think it will be difficult for Tottenham to keep him but he is feeling good here in London, so we will see in the summer what is going to happen.

“With his quality, his pace and his strength, he could do well in any league.”
