Los Angeles police were Thursday converging outside actor Charlie Sheen’s house in Sherman Oaks, Calif., for a pre-planned raid, TMZ reported.
A source told the entertainment website that the raid may be related to drug offenses or police may be attempting place the actor on a psychiatric hold.
Another source told TMZ the police visit was related to Sheen possibly possessing weapons, which would be a violation of the restraining order his estranged wife Brooke Mueller has obtained.
“I can confirm police are there, but we’re not releasing further details at the moment,” LAPD spokeswoman Norma Eisenman told People magazine.
The Hollywood Reporter said LAPD sources had told them they would be releasing a statement shortly.
Amidst the drama, Sheen tweeted: “all good here on homefront. all reports are false. I’ll explain more very soon. #Dogspeed.”
