Quique Sanchez Flores: Diego Forlan & Sergio Aguero Must Improve

Atletico Madrid coach Quique Sanchez Flores requires more effort from Diego Forlan and the rest of his side as he looks ahead to their clash against Villarreal.

Forlan and Sergio Aguero have come under fire this season. The Uruguayan has hit just seven goals in La Liga.

And Flores feels his front men need to be explosive.

“Forlan and Aguero must improve on their aggression. I hope Diego and the rest return and maintain good efforts and a steady work rate,” Flores told the press ahead of tomorrow’s game.

“They have to be aggressive in front of goal. That goes for all the strikers in general, not just Diego.

“Those who play up front have to improve in the final third as when you score you always feel happy, and this is good going forward.

“Villarreal? They are a great side, they always maintain the same dynamic and they are always consistent, but we hope to surprise them.”

Atleti sit in eighth place ahead of tomorrow’s clash with the fourth-placed Yellow Submarines.
