The first of its kind since the statement was made, the architects of the Brong Ahafo All Die Be Die Fan Club say the group seeks to complement the fighting efforts of the party’s leadership to recapture power in 2012.
Kwame Baffoe DC aka B/A Kennedy Agyapong, PRO of the club, told Daily Guide there has been a mad rush for the club’s t-shirts less than one week after it was formed. He added that the group has a membership of over 500 people.
Baffoe noted that their immediate priority is to reach out to all 24 constituencies in the region and lift up their fighting spirit to work extra-hard to bring the NPP back to power in 2013.
The primary objective of the ‘All Die Be Die Fan Club’ is to man and protect ballot boxes during and after voting by providing five additional people to assist the work of the party’s official polling agents at all the polling centers. This, he explained, is to avoid any intimidation and rigging during and after the elections.
He also indicated that members of the club have resolved to be faithful messengers of the campaign messages of Nana Akufo- Addo and the NPP which he called a message of hope for the people of Ghana after the Mills-led NDC had failed to meet their aspirations.
He said Nana Akufo-Addo promised to make education up to the senior high school level free during his 2008 election campaign. He said the flag bearer still holds fast to that promise and is prepared to give it to Ghanaians.
Baffoe advised Ghanaians to avoid sympathy-voting by giving President Mills another four-year term. He explained that such a move will further plunge Ghana into untold hardship and worsen living conditions of the citizenry. He therefore called on the electorate to vote for the NPP and its presidential candidate in order to see a great transformation in their lives.
