The owner of Ghanaian second-tier side King Solowon FC blames poor management for failing to secure promotion to the top flight in the past after upsetting Mighty Jets in the MTN FA Cup.
Solomon Amankwah Agyin, based in Belgium, claims he has been let down by previous undedicated and uncommitted management teams.
“Most of the time I don’t have time to spend in Ghana and if you are not there personally things are different. Every year I change management because things are not properly done but as at now, things are going on well. I praise my Chief Executive Nimako (Fred) who is doing well because he wants to make a name for himself,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com
“What I will say is that most of the division one team are every good. Sometimes I see some talented and very good players but they don’t have the opportunity to play at the highest level.
“But at the moment, we are doing well because they called me today that they want to show themselves that most of the mates are playing at the premier division and they are at the lowest level so they want to prove themselves that want to do something better.
“So I encouraged them to get advantage of the premier division at the end.” He explained how he runs his club from his based in Belgium.
“I have some management in Ghana who are taking care of the club and right now they are everything and they are doing well so I’m supporting them financially and the rest I communicate with them every day and that how the team is keeping on.”
The Tema-based beat Premier League side Tudu Mighty Jets 3-0 on Monday to advance to the round of 32 of the MTN FA Cup.
