Several perish in three accidents

    Three accidents Saturday morning have reportedly claimed several lives in the Central and Eastern Regions.
    In the Eastern Region, a 208 Benz bus, according to eyewitnesses bumped into a refuse dump, somersaulted and killed many of the 23 passengers on board.
    After frantic calls police fire officers arrived at the scene to help any survivors.
    The Akropong Divisional Police Commander, Chief Supt. Ernest Owusu confirmed the accident to Joy News, saying three have so far been confirmed dead.
    According to him, the 20 injured have been conveyed to Tetteh-Quarshie Memorial Hospital for treatment.
    He said a second accident occurred on the Adawsu-Koforidua road.
    In the Central Region, a truck loaded with timber logs also collided with a KIA truck carrying market women and oranges on the Elmina-Takoradi road.
    An eyewitness told Joy News he saw three bodies completely dismembered and covered with palm fronds.
    Emmanuel Baah said some of dead and injured had been taken away from the accident scene.
