Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs Mona Omar is to visit South Africa on January 8, in line with directives by Foreign Minister Mohamed Amr.
Omar said on Wednesday that she will participate in the celebrations of the 100th year anniversary of the South African “African National Congress” party chaired by President Jacob Zuma. Egypt’s participation in such celebrations reflects the strong bilateral relations and its leading role in the African arena, Omar said.
During her visit, Omar will confer with a number of South African officials to disucss bilateral cooperation.
