Luanda — The Finance minister, Carlos Alberto Lopes, said Wednesday in Luanda that in 2012 the country’s public finance management policy will remain its commitment to fiscal transparency and responsibility and to the modernisation of the tax system.
The minister was speaking at the end-of-the-year compliments ceremony.
According to him, there will be a fruitful interaction of the fiscal policy and the others run by the Government, like those turned to the consolidation of the democratic and lawful State, sustainability of the economic growth and improvement of the living of the populations.
Minister Carlos Lopes said the Government will continue focusing on the financial execution of the public investment programme, both in the area of infrastructures and in the spheres of social, health and education policies, including the strengthening of citizenship, through the universalisation of the electoral registration.
He stated that these investments are fundamental for the organisation of general elections in 2012, in the light of the Constitution of the Republic that makes provisions for the integration of Angola in the context of the democratic nations, committed to peace and reconciliation, organised in line with the best international practices in all social, political, economic, governance, human rights, citizenship and environment domains.
