Angola: Over Four Million Trees to Grow in Nursery

    Lubango — More than four million of different trees will be produced in 2012 in three forest polygons in Huila province under a program of reforestation and combat of desertification of the provincial department of agriculture.

    The information was released on Wednesday to press by the director of agriculture, rural development, fisheries and environment, Lutero Campos who said that there will be produced unspecified quantities of eucalyptus, jacaranda, cedar, lingustros, acacias and other varieties.

    Lutero Campos added that the trees will be produced in the forests of Humpata, Matala and Caconda with the perspective to restore the green field of the province.

    This year, the Institute of Forestry Development in Huila has produced over 100,000 different plants.
