Juba — The Political Bureau of the National Democratic Front head by the President of the party Dr. James Mabor Gatkuoth has acknowledged the Africa Peace prize accorded to President Kiir in 2011.

Kiir is the third African leader to receive the peace prize award after Africa’s great leader Nelson Mandela the former President of South Africa and President Yoweri Baguta Museveni of Uganda, said Gatkuoth.

The event has added a cause for our overwhelming national pride and ecstasy in our country and the political bureau views this high degree of honor and exaltation not only to the President but also to all South Sudanese masses, he asserted

Gatkuoth said that their political bureau affirmed expressly and officially welcome to the award to the President for what they described as “distinguished Africa Peace Award” and extended thanks to all South Sudanese and their national and states governments for the status attained for them amid the nations of the Africa continent that confirmed that South Sudan is a peace loving country and will never be a failed State.

“We urge both President and people of South Sudan to further consolidate the internal front, have more inclusive government and exert more effort to make both security and defense of the country a national duty and right of every concerned citizen,” he assured.

The NDF urged the President and his government to take seriously and expeditiously the threats and provocations over our country’s territorial integrity with Sudan and the question of Abyei, said Gatkuoth.

He declares full support to Kiir and his government in the face of any foreign aggression and animosity as long as he and his government maintain the cause and path of peace, unity, justice, equality and development.
