Swansea celebrating Sinclair’s equaliser with the fans

A 84th minute equaliser from Scott Sinclair denied Tottenham the full points at the Liberty Stadium.

But it all started well for the visitors when Van der Vaart put his team on the lead just before half time, after a good work from Benoît Assou-Ekotto on the left flank.

It was a bit harsh for the locals who enjoyed most of the possession in this first half.

The Dutch striker missed the brace ten minutes into the second half, thanks to a good save from Vorm on his line.

Gareth Bale had also his chance just after the hour mark, but the Swans started to really take control of the game while the visitors were more and more on a defensive mode, trying to protect their short advantage.

Good attempts from Rangel then Graham ended up slightly off target, but five minutes before full time, a poor defending from Friedel and Assou-Ekotto on a cross ball allowed Sinclair to get a well-deserved equaliser for Swansea.

The Spurs remain third placed on the table, three points ahead of the Gunners who secured a 1-0 victory against Queens Park Rangers.
