Swaziland have withdrawn from qualifying for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa
Swaziland have withdrawn from the preliminary round of qualifying for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations for financial reasons.
They had been due to travel to play the Seychelles on 7 January in the first leg of the qualifier for the finals in South Africa.
The Seychelles now get a bye into the next round to face DR Congo.
The Swaziland Football Association says it does not have the funds for the trip to the Seychelles.
The country’s government stepped in to ensure a 2014 World Cup qualifier against DR Congo was honoured in November, which Swaziland lost 8-2 on aggregate.
