Tebogo Moloi
Orlando Pirates assistant coach Tebogo Moloi says the technical team have told the players that their Telkom Knockout ‘honeymoon’ is over.
The Bucs players are currently on a break, but with more silverware on offer in the New Year in the form of the Nedbank Cup and League title, Moloi says they will not accept complacency.
He adds that with the club celebrating their 75th anniversary in 2012, their will be some pressure to lift more trophies.
“Next year is an important year in the history of Orlando Pirates, and we want to celebrate the 75th anniversary with a bang by sweeping the boards,” Moloi told Sowetan.
“When we closed for the festive season holidays, we told the players the honeymoon of celebrating the success in the Telkom Knockout was over. We are reopening on January 9 when we will also be meeting the players.
“We have to start channelling all our energies into the league as it is still within reach.”
