Last week’s tip:
Swansea to win 1-0 and under 1.5 goals (£5 [€6] on each)
Result: Swansea 1 – 1 QPR
Profit/Loss: – -£10 (

Stoke v Wigan

these sides have met six times in the Premier League, with four games ending as draws and both teams winning one game apiece at the Britannia Stadium.  Wigan have kept one clean sheet in their last 15 Premiership games while Stoke have recorded just two from their last 10.  However, I certainly do not see this game as a goalfest, as both teams have failed to score in their last two matches.

Only Fulham (five) have scored fewer away goals than Wigan’s six and, as Stoke managed to keep out Manchester United and Liverpool at the Britannia Stadium, I think they will manage to keep out Fulham.

Tip: £5 (€6) on Stoke to win to nil @ 2.75 (7/4)
£5 (€6) Stoke to win 2-0 @ 7.5 (13/2)

Last week’s tip:  Norwich v Tottenham (Both to score)
Result: Tottenham 2 – 0 Norwich
Profit/Loss: -£10 (€11.94)

Last season Manchester United hit Blackburn for seven and, despite an increasing injury list, a similar feat does not look a world away.

The Red Devils have hit 16 goals in their last four Premier League games and even the enigmatic Dimitar Berbatov, joint-top goalscorer last season, has been impressing.

Opponents Rovers are yet to really be tested outside Ewood Park and Steve Kean’s side have conceded three goals against Aston Villa, Norwich, Stoke, Newcastle and Wigan, all away from home, and United should at least follow suit on Saturday.

Tip: Manchester United to Win & Over 3.5 Total Goals @ 2.00 (Evens)

JD/JD Football Betting
Last week’s tip: Man United over 2.5 goals and Man City over 1.5 goals double
Result: Man United 5-0 Wigan and West Brom 0-0 Man City
Profit/Loss: – £10 (€11.94)

Manchester City uncharacteristically drew a blank against West Brom last week and I will simply back them here to get back to winning ways against Sunderland.

United have scored 10 times in their last two matches and they should get over 2.5 here. Blackburn secured a great point at Anfield, but this is a much tougher assignment.

Double – Manchester City win and Manchester United over 2.5 goals @ 2.40 (7/5)

Last week’s tip: Mons v Anderlecht (Over 2.5 goals)
Result: Mons 1-1 Anderlecht
Profit/Loss: – £10 (€11.94)

Sheffield Utd 1.53, Draw 4.00, Hartlepool 6.00

The Blades have won five in a row in the league, and seven successive games in all competitions since mid-November, while fighting with rivals Sheffield Wednesday for second place in League One. They are in great form, which cannot be said of awful Hartlepool, who have lost of their last 13 games. It should be a simple win for the home team, most probably by a margin, and you can play is safe with a -1 Asian handicap.

Last week’s tip: Wycombe – Exeter (Draw) & Rangers win to nil
Result: Wycombe 3-1 Exeter & St Mirren 2-1 Rangers
Profit/Loss: – £10 (€11.94)

Both teams have only kept one clean sheet at home and away, respectively, so far this season and Exeter in particular have conceded two or more goals in eight out of 11 games played away from St James’ Park. Moreover, both teams have produced really big scorelines in their last 4 home and away games, respectively (1-6, 4-1, 4-4, 1-5 to mention but a few) and therefore a bet on over three goals looks a solid one.

Manchester United have been in great form in December so far, winning all of their games, scoring 17 and conceding just one. On such form it is difficult to see how Blackburn’s defence will stop United’s strikers from netting, especially when they have not managed a single clean sheet so far this campaign. A high scoreline is likely and hence a recommended bet of over 3.5 goals in the match is the bet here.

Tip: Double: Colchester v Exeter : Over 3 & Manchester Utd v Blackburn: over 3.5 @ 4/1
