Foreign Minister Mohamed Amr met Thursday 29/12/2011 with a host of academics and researchers at the Russian Institute of Oriental Studies. The talks took up the overall conditions in Egypt and the Arab region.

During the meeting, Amr also reviewed the internal situation in Egypt and the roadmap to hold the elections of the People’s Assembly and the Shura Council, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Amr Roushdi.

Amr affirmed that the recent developments in the country will not affect the constants of the Egyptian foreign policy, Roushdi said.

Amr discussed with the Russian officials the situation in Syria and preparations for the 2012 conference on nuclear disarmament in the Middle East, added Roushdi.
