Egypt: Bourse Gains One Percent in Year’s Final Day of Trade

    The Egyptian Stock Exchange recorded a collective rise, in the final day of trading in 2011, hitting 3.2 billion pounds.

    The EGX30 benchmark index finished the week up one percent to close at 3622.35 points.

    The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) bounced by 2.25 percent to 643.07 points.

    The all-embracing EGX 100 index followed suit with 1.94 percent taking the index up to 643.07 points.
