Luanda — Delegations of athletes from Macau and Egypt arrived in Luanda last Thursday to participate in the 56th edition of the yearend race dubbed Saint Sylvester, which will happen on 31 December in the Angolan capital city.
The athletes from Macau are Vai Penk and Wai Lok, as well as a physical trainer, whereas the Egyptian team include the athletes Yasser Moustafa, Daoud Ali and Samir Salib.
A source with the organisers said that other foreign participants are still expected to arrive.
Meanwhile, ANGOP has learnt that until Wednesday over 1.200 national athletes had registered to participate in the race, which is a ten-kilometre dispute.
