AC Milan are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Seydou Keita, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be the key to sealing the move, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo.
The Serie A giants were linked with the Mali international in August, and have allegedly rekindled interest in the player, who is seen as a potential replacement for the ageing Mark van Bommel and Massimo Ambrosini.
Keita and Ibrahimovic became close friends during the Swede’s one-year stay at Barcelona in 2009-10, and the striker is said to be pressuring his former team-mate into a move.
Even if Keita switches clubs, he is not expected to complete a deal in January. Liverpool recently were said to be interested in his services, but the player confirmed that he would not consider a move before the summer. His contract expires in 2014.
