He’s got a gorgeous supermodel fiancee waiting for him at home, but Cristiano Ronaldo was happy to share the company of some slippery friends in Dubai.
The Real Madrid footballer went swimming with dolphins yesterday while in the United Arab Emirates.
He posted a cute picture on his blog of him with one of the animals, holding its fins as it rose out of the water.
My new friend: Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo posted this photo on his blog of him swimming with dolphins in Dubai
The 26-year-old wrote: ‘Today I had a great experience swimming with
dolphins. It’s amazing how they engage with us.’
He is in Dubai to attend the sixth annual International Sports Conference.
Today, he visited fans at a autistic centre and was happy to sign balls, T-shirts and whatever else was put in front of him by the children.
Fulfilling his duties: The Real Madrid player was in Dubai for the sixth International Sports Council Conference
He’s there for his fans: The player signs an autistic boy’s T-shirt during his visit to the Autism Centre
During a press conference, he
revealed he prefers Spain’s La Liga over the Premier League because he
claims it allows individual players to shine.
He had played for Manchester United for six years before joining Spanish
giants Real Madrid.
The striker said he ‘learned the elementary and basic rules of football, especially
discipline’ while in England.
What else can I sign: The player was bombarded with items to put his pen to, including a ball and a notepad
What have you got to say: Ronaldo attends a press conference during the two-day event
But he added La Liga was the best league in the world because it ‘relies on players’ skills and techniques.’
After netting 20 goals so far this season, Ronaldo is the top scorer in Spain and says he has no intention of moving on.
While
insisting he could adapt to any league, Ronald said he wants to remain
at Real Madrid, adding ‘frankly I’m just enjoying the moment.’
The player wished his fans a merry Chrisymas via Twitter on Sunday.
‘I’m enjoying my holidays and I would like to wish you all a
#MerryChristmas,’ he said.
I’m massive: Italian legend Alessandro Del Piero and Ronaldo sit under his image as he spoke about preferring Spain¿s La Liga over the Premier League because it allows individual players to shine
He later added: ‘Hope that you all had a great Christmas night. Merry Christmas! Feliz Natal! Feliz Navidad!’
His fiancée Irina Shayk has been busy with a number of big-money modelling deals all over the world.
The 25-year-old Russian most recently ditched her clothes for a campaign with German lingerie company Lascana.
Earlier this year she landed the prestigious
cover shoot for Sports Illustrated magazine.
The couple reportedly met while working on an ad campaign for Emporio Armani.
