ABRANTIE AMAKYE DEDE, the Ghanaian highlife legend, last Saturday, December 24, rocked the Capital View Hotel in Koforidua in the Eastern region with his brand of music that has won him international acclaim in several parts of Africa, Europe, Australia and the United States.
The concert, which attracted a large number of music fans, was backed by the High Kings Band. Abrantie’s performance that night was without doubt the most thrilling, compared to his previous shows.
Every music lover at the show was simply in tune with Abrantie’s household songs. His excellent performance kept fans on their feet and screaming at the top of their voices, singing, and dancing along from start to finish.
Abrantie Amakye Dede, who performed for over four hours, was able to charm music fans that trooped to the venue to witness his performance on stage.
His vocal ability was even better than usual and fans couldn’t resist his performance as they demanded for more.
Abrantie’s stage craft was a blast, he was just “too much” as he thrilled fans with his hit songs.
Abrantie, who wowed music fans with his fast-tempo songs, got the crowd screaming with excitement. Indeed, he proved why he is the nation’s artiste of the year when it comes to life band music.
After the show, Amakye Dede told BEATWAVES in a chat that Koforidua was yet to see the best of him.
He continued that on New Year’s Day, he would unleash an extraordinary performance never witnessed before in Accra at the Abrantie Spot.
“Amakye Dede is always Amakye Dede and am going to do something different, something extraordinary, something ‘seeeerious’ on New Year’s Day so my fans should come and they will not regret it,” he said.
Lee Duodu, who performed alongside Abrantie, also won the hearts of fans with his exquisite stagecraft and singing ability.
He was at his best and his attitude on stage was exceptionally good. The music icon treated the excited fans to some serious dance moves.
