David Ssebaga yesterday became the third Bell Super League coach to face the axe.

The Utoda coach was asked to quit after he failed to post any victory in 12 attempts.

Serbian Srdjan ‘Zivo’ Zivojnov was the first to lose his job at SC Villa last month before KCC sacked Matia Lule.

Ismail Kintu, Ssebaga’s hitherto assistant, will oversee the side’s game against Express today and Villa on January 3.

“We gave him enough time and hoped things would change,” said Michael Muliira, the Utoda secretary. “For about five games we have been playing well but conceding late goals. David did his best but we need to win.”

Ssebaga, Abdu Kigenyi’s replacement this season, understood Utoda’s action. “It happens,” the 34-year-old said, “When you fail the test, there is no complaining.”

Of the 12 games he was in charge, bottom side Utoda lost seven and drew five.
