JULIUS Ogwang and Musa Mukasa scored a brace each as Express SC goes into the Christmas break at the top of the Uganda Super League table (27points).

The Red Eagles were exceptional on Friday trouncing UTODA 5-2 at Namboole. They have scored 19 goals in the last six matches and Coach Sam Ssimbwa was not surprised save for the goals his team conceded.

“We worked hard and prepared well for this game. I only did not expect the goal we conceded. Those are gifts we should not have given away like that,” Ssimbwa said after the match.

URA FC follows them with 26points after a 2-1 win over Bunamwaya. Express came from a goal down to humiliate UTODA in the enthralling encounter.

Isaac Immamu put UTODA in the lead in the first minute of the game the taxi-men’s team but succumbed to Ogwang, Mukasa and a 32-yard strike by Yaya Lutimbo four minutes to the last whistle.

Eric Kabanda scored UTODA’s second goal but he will also be remembered for a number of scoring chances that he squandered.

Ssimbwa watched the game from the stands after he was dismissed from the technical areas during the game against Proline on Tuesday.

Other than UTODA loss, the KCC defeat to 2-1 Proline at Nakivubo was arguably a focal point of discussion especially because it has come as a second successive loss after an earlier one to Maroons with the same margin in four days.
