In line with the tradition of this paper, we are today, Friday, December 23, 2011 bestowing honors on several persons and institutions in recognition of their exemplary roles and activities in society during the course of the year under review.

Our selection was buttressed by views solicited by some members of the public through entries. Candidly, the recognition of these individuals and institutions is in keeping with the tradition of this paper to honor those who contributed immensely to the rebuilding of our country following years of political brouhaha.

We believe these individuals and institutions deserve to be honored because they have demonstrated high degree of commitment and dedication to the rebuilding of country.

When individuals and institutions put national interests above other interests in the execution of their assigned tasks, it becomes very necessary to ‘give them their flowers’ so as to motivate them to do more.

Notwithstanding, we deserve the full right as the giver of the honors to dishonor any of the honorees who engage in activities totally against the honor.

This is why it is very important for the honorees to consider the recognition of their good work as inspiration to do more, and henceforth, they must do everything to live up to the expectations.

Again, we congratulate our honorees and hope that they live up to the expectations so that others can emulate their good examples for the betterment our beloved country, Liberia.

Well done Honorees! Keep on the good work. But be reminded that the Liberian people are watching you keenly.
