Former Sony Sugar striker Sila Aluvisia has vowed to rediscover the form that made him one of the most wanted marksmen in the Kenya Premier League.
Aluvisia, who was released by AFC Leopards early this month having become surplus to their requirement following the acquisition of Mike Barasa is currently training with Nationwide Two club Metro Sports in a bid to keep himself fit for any prospective moves before the league transfer window closes at the end of January.
“I have always set myself very high standards and I know at Leopards I did not have enough opportunities to prove my worth because of the change in coaching staff now and again,” he started.
The 26-year-old, who joined Leopards from Tusker in January after receiving one hundred grand, was alive to the fact that the onus was on him to prove he still has what it takes to attract the eyes of prospective suitors in the top flight league.
” Talent is something you cannot take away from someone. I know I have to keep working hard and take any chance that comes my way. I believe I still have a lot to offer as a footballer,” he said.
Sila won the league with Sony Sugar in 2006 when he scored six goals before moving to join the brewers in 2008. Limited appearances for the Ruaraka-based side saw him net eight goals in one and a half season with the club before ending up at Leopards.
Unconfirmed reports have linked the player with a move to Chemelil Sugar to swap places with Victor Ochieng who is now at Leopards. Karuturi Sports and his former club Sony are also a potential destination once Zedekiah Otieno who has been numerously linked to the coach’s job there is finally confirmed.
