Goal : Inter and Japan national team star Yuto Nagatomo capped off an eventful year with two assists in his team’s 4-1 win against Lecce in Serie A on Wednesday.
Despite falling behind 1-0 in the 20th minute, the hosts stormed back with four goals to extend their winning streak to four matches and finish 2011 in fifth place in the league table.
In the first goal, Nagatomo received a pass deep in Lecce’s territory, dribbled past a defender at the byline before passing to Esteban Cambaiasso, who scored Inter’s third goal of the match.
Just eight minutes later, the Samurai Blue star had an even more impressive showing when Inter captured the ball on a counter. Nagatomo dribbled past two defenders and was felled by Lecce’s Juan Cuadrado before getting up, recovering the ball, cutting past another defender and crossing to a wide-open Ricky Alvarez who slotted home for the team’s fourth and final effort.
