Goal : Tottenham duo Ledley King and Emmanuel Adebayor have come out in defence of John Terry and said they believe the England and Chelsea captain will not be affected by the furore surrounding him over allegations of racism.
On Wednesday it was revealed the 31-year-old had been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence for comments allegedly made towards Anton Ferdinand in the Blues’ 1-0 defeat away to QPR.
Adebayor and King, who both played in Spurs 1-1 draw with Andre Villas-Boas’ side at White Hart Lane on Thursday, have since suggested that despite the off-the-field controversy surrounding the player, they do not expect a change in his form on it.
Adebayor told reporters: “It’s not his first problem in his life. He had a couple of problems already, so I think now he knows how to deal with them.
