Adjei Abbas aka Bayawa
The death is reported of Adjei Abbas Oparaku, also known as ‘Bayawa’. He was 44.
He died on Wednesday December 21 at the Police Hospital in Accra after a short illness; and was buried yesterday at the Madina cemetery in line with Islamic tradition. The final funeral rites will be held on Sunday 25th December, 2011 at Nima in Accra.
Bayawa, until his death, was one of the most popular and loyal supporters of the national soccer teams, travelling to South Africa, England, Angola and Germany among other countries to cheer the teams.
He was survived by three children.
