Mirrorfootball : Model Abbey Clancy has been left devastated after burglars ransacked her home and stole all of the family’s Christmas presents.
Abbey and her husband, England striker Peter Crouch, almost walked in on the thieves as they returned to their £4.5million Cheshire mansion after going out.
A friend of the couple said last night: “Abbey and Peter are naturally distressed that this has happened, particularly in the run-up to Christmas.”
Abbey, 25, rang the police immediately after she and Peter, 30, got home.
Fortunately their nine-month-old daughter Sophia Ruby was being looked after by relatives at the time.
The burglars are believed to have been watching the house waiting for the couple to go out before forcing their way in through a kitchen window on Tuesday.
