Manchester City reportedly have no immediate plans concerning a potential extension of manager Roberto Mancini‘s contract.

The Italian was appointed as boss towards the end of 2009, after Mark Hughes was unceremoniously sacked from his position at Eastlands.

Now as the former Inter boss approaches his second anniversary at City, he can list an FA Cup triumph among his achievements, having guided the club to their first piece of silverware in well over three decades.

Mancini also accomplished his objective for last season by ensuring that the team qualified for Champions League football, and his side currently sit at the top of the Premier League.

But now The Sunday Express reports that City do not have any plans to hold talks in the immediate future, despite the 47-year-old having less than 18 months left on his current deal.

For his part, Mancini is apparently unconcerned about his contract at the moment, and said: “Contract talks for me? No, I don’t know. I am not worried about it.”

Manchester City host Arsenal on Sunday, as they look to bounce back from the recent defeat to Chelsea that ended their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.
